This study aims to determine the effect of career adaptability on career anxiety among Guidance and Counseling students Class of 2022, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Medan, for the 2025/2026 academic year. A quantitative approach with a causal associative method and a simple linear regression design was employed. The population consisted of 153 students, from which a sample of 111 students was selected using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires consisting of the Career Adaptability Scale (33 valid items) and the Career Anxiety Scale (27 valid items). Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression, complemented by a Spearman's rho correlation confirmation test. Descriptive analysis revealed that the majority of students fell into the moderate category for both career adaptability (55.0%) and career anxiety (66.7%). Hypothesis testing demonstrated a significant negative effect of career adaptability on career anxiety (t = -11.401; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The regression coefficient was -0.517, resulting in the regression equation Y = 111.197 - 0.517X. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.544 indicates that career adaptability contributes 54.4% to career anxiety, while the remaining 45.6% is influenced by other external factors. In conclusion, higher levels of career adaptability among students significantly reduce career anxiety during their school-to-work transition
